What a fantastic hike! Panoramic views and stunning scenery. The trip to the summit was difficult in spots especially toward the end, but worth it. We would definitely do it againFull review by Buster848

Yes there is plenty of parking although on a nice day you may have to park on the road. when you get to old forge.. on the Right side of the main road State Route 28 you will see an information center. Get a map which has lots of other hikes. State Route 28 north about 4.5 miles you will see the signs for Rondaxe Fire tower or trail.. that is where you want to hike make the left turn on Rondaxe Road. have fun
We are travelling from Utica to Thendara on the train, then back again to Utica. Is there enough time during the stopover to hike to Bald Mountain? Is there transportation from Thendara station to the trailhead? Thanks. John

Come on back with a car sometime soon..Bald Mountain is an easy-ish climb, with a "remember it for life" view. have fun!
