Hello! I am gland that you are thinking of PR as your destination. In term of Botanical Gardens I think each country has its style for their Botanical Gardens, PR is not the exception. That I know there are two main considered Botanical Gardens. One in San Juan and one in Caguas. They are both amazingly well kept, they are both gorgeous. It will be warm all around the year. Keep in mind that being in the tropic it might rain while you are there so be prepare and at the same time enjoy it because still will probably be beatiful. In both are different beautiful structures and If you like them you should visit both if you have the time. They are design for to be walk, to sit and admire the gardens. Have a camera with you. The one in San Juan is the Jardín Botánico de Rio Piedras and the one in Caguas is Jardín Botánico y Cultural de Caguas-this one has history of a Sugar cane Central. On Coral reef restoration I know that in the "Laguna del Condado" or Condado Lagoon they are restoring the corals. This is in San Juan.
