Moûtiers, historically also called Tarentaise, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. Moûtiers is the main access point to the Les Trois Vallées ski region in the French Alps. Its railway station, although not on a high-speed rail line, is consequently a seasonally important destination for TGV services from Lyon, Paris and elsewhere, including abroad.
