Is there a way we could go to viewpoints by hiking, not all the way to the top, but if there are any good viewpoints much lower? We are on a budget and don’t want any tour or take the cable car. We would still use public transport to get as high as we can. Any famous places within Teide national park or elsewhere? Not a tough hike but just some viewpoint maybe?

I’m pretty sure the public bus goes to the lower cable car station. You can walk from there, though there’s a lot of height to make up to get near the top of the volcano, and you need a permit if you want to go to the very peak. Permits are free, but very restricted in number – you get them through the government website.
Does Tiede have an active volcano areas ? On lanazorote I know they have a bus tour around lava fields and you can touch the sands that are warm due to the lanzarote volcano. When we went to lanzarote the hade guiser to that sprayed watrer back ? I havebn really seen anything other than view about Tide on tenrife so was hoping more volcanoe based activites may be avilable like lanzarote had when we go later in the year

You only need a permit to visit the very top of pico del teide. The trips that most people go on take you up the cable car to within 200m of the summit.
