I’ve read some conflicting info regarding travel trailers and feasibility with the road in. Have any improvements to the road been made since some of the more negative reviews a few years ago? Ours is only 21 feet but we’re still relative newbies.

Many RV's visit Amethyst Mine Panorama each summer, including trailers, motorhomes, and motorcoaches. There is 5 km of gravel road used to access Panorama and about halfway in there is a very steep and long hill. The gravel can be dusty when dry and muddy when wet and of course there are potholes. The hill is quite steep and long and is covered with re-cycled asphalt.
We're planning a trip up here specifically for the amethyst mines.... Any suggestions? Also, anyone know where the Auralite23 mine is? Thank you!

Hello. Amethyst Mine Panorama is open 10-5 until October 15. During July and August, our extended hours are 10 - 6. Auralite is a trade name for amethyst. I do not know if that amethyst mine is open to the public. There are plenty of scepter type amethyst pieces and healing crystals available in Rock Hound's Dream, our fee-dig area. Hope to see you soon!
