I would have to say, that yes, while the trail is like a sidewalk, it is indeed very, very steep in places. If the user is in a motorized wheelchair, that may work, if the user is experienced using it in very steep situations. But, if pushed by another, I'd be afraid I'd let loose and the chair person would go flying. Then there is the uphill toward the end. There is a wonderful film about the grotto which lasts 20-30 minutes. Not the same, I know, but it is safe. :)
