This was the highlight of our Sunshine Coast holiday! Lovely walk (lots of stairs but fine if you are fit and healthy). The rock pool was incredible! We were fortunate the waterfall was flowing and t… Full review by 473kylieo

We did the Great Walk from the Baroon Pocket Dam, very nice! Unfortunately, there was not much of a waterfall left. The rocket pool offered a refreshing swim. Full review by IRBR

Hi there, relatively short to the waterfall where you can swim. The picnic area is right at the car park and the walk is fine absolutely fine for the little ones. Just don't do the walk around as it is steep in parts and you will end up carrying the kids. Just walk to the falls and back the same way. I suggest to go early (and I mean early) to get a parking spot right at the picnic grounds As it fills up quickly and hiking form up (or done) the road could tiring. Especially if you have picnic stuff to set up. The rockets getting into the pool are slippery so take care. And maybe take a blow up float ring for the kids as the pool is deep. You won't be able to touch the bottom. You will have a wonderful time. Enjoy.
Q:
My sister has a disability and can't walk too far. Is the walk to the falls fairly manageable if done with a walking stick?
A:
Go to Mary Cairnccross Scenic reserve instead. Excellent visitors centre, mainly flat short walking trail and lovely scenic views.
Q:
Can you hike part of the trail to the falls & turn back or is the trail one way?
A:
There are shorter and longer trail versions. No it is not one way - there is a loop but your choice as to which route to take.
Q:
Are leashed dogs allowed?
A:
no
