here's how alot of others I have known tour the Canal. start at lock 1 - closest to lake ontario. From there you can drive up the Canal Road all the way up to Thorold o Ontario - making stops along the way. the museum is a good stop. lots to see - it's quite an experience to see the steel cargo ships manouvering. station 93.3 tells you which lock or bridge is up - plan for the Day!!!!! it's a journey. there is also an amazing Bike walking pathway along side the Canal as well. hope this helps.
