Nintendo Switch 2 is here, and we've got our hands on it, so it's only right we share some of the incredible new features we've been loving on the console. Backward compatibility is one of the Nintendo Switch 2’s strongest features. The console supports most existing Nintendo Switch titles, allowing you to continue enjoying your current library without interruptions. Additionally, several games have been optimized for the new hardware, offering improved graphics and enhanced performance.

Despite the Nintendo Switch 2 boasting improved hardware and software, users are already reporting a returning issue on the successor console.

The higher frame rates really stood out to me, too. Games now run at 120 frames per second in both modes, making everything feel noticeably smoother and more responsive. It's really obvious when you're playing fast-paced titles where quick movements matter. There's also a HDR feature.

Nintendo has revealed a new Splatoon game for its upcoming console, promising fresh gameplay and mysteries on the Spirhalite Islands with Deep Cut.

The pricey Nintendo Switch 2 is a worthy successor to the original Switch. Expect it to be the vessel for Nintendo's play-focused storytelling for the next decade.
