Alabama football was heavily favored and had every advantage in the ReliaQuest Bowl, and still flopped in a turnover-filled loss to Michigan.

TAMPA, Fla.— In its final exam to end the first season of the Kalen DeBoer era, Alabama football condensed the highs and lows of its entire 2024 season into 60 minutes. For the Crimson Tide, the bad outweighed the good is it lost 19-13 to Michigan in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl to secure Alabama's first season without 10 wins since 2007.

The Crimson Tide's starter was Elijah Pritchett for the majority of 2024, a position battle he won and held onto from Week 3 against Wisconsin until the Mercer game. In Alabama's 28-14 win against Auburn Nov. 30, Pritchett and Wilkin Formby basically split each series, something that continued into the bowl game.
