The Pentagon says internet pages honoring a Black Medal of Honor winner and Japanese American service members were mistakenly taken down.

In addition to removing photos of a Medal of Honor recipient, some of the photos in the military's DEI purge seemed to be included just because the caption included the word "gay," even as a last name.

The latest casualty in the Department of Defense's sweep of all things related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is Charles Calvin Rogers, a Black Army officer who received the Medal of Honor for his gallant defense of a firebase near South Vietnam's border with Cambodia in 1968.
