The streaming service announced that “American Murder: Gabby Petito” premieres Feb. 17. “In 2021, Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie went on a four-month road trip across the United States documenting their van life on social media. Only one of them returned,” Netflix wrote alongside the trailer on Facebook.

Now, Petito's case will reenter the public lexicon. On January 27, Netflix announced the February release of a Gabby Petito documentary called American Murder: Gabby Petito. The three-part series will feature interviews with Petito's family and friends, text message key to the case, and excerpts from Petito's diaries.
