India has emerged as the front-runners to host the Champions Trophy 2025 if Pakistan end up pulling out of the showpiece event.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is plagued by uncertainty, with Pakistan's hosting rights hanging in the balance. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed safety concerns, refusing to send a team to Pakistan,

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has affirmed that all India players will be welcomed with open arms should they travel for the Champions Trophy in February.

Even though the ICC is yet to announce the final schedule of the Champions Trophy, it flew the trophy to Pakistan on Thursday for a tour of the country beginning 16.

The BCCI has informed the ICC about its inability to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The ICC, in turn, has sought a response from the PCB on hosting the tournament in a hybrid model.

Pakistan are Champions Trophy holders, having beaten arch-rivals India in the final in the UK by 180 runs in 2017. Meanwhile, the first ever ICC Women's Champions Trophy will be hosted by Sri Lanka in 2027 and it'll be played in T20I format.

The ICC has launched a new logo for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan is the confirmed host. India's participation is uncertain due to security concerns. The PCB seeks clarification from the BCCI.
