Sally Beauty Holdings Inc., long one of Denton's top private employers, announced Wednesday that the company plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Denton to Plano.

"With this move, we'll create our workplace of the future, offering a hub of culture and community that will drive enhanced collaboration and innovation and support Sally Beauty Holdings' ongoing recruitment and talent retention efforts,

Sally Beauty sold its headquarters to Denton County for $45M in September. It has been leasing that building since then while looking for a new home.

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc., announced it would leave Denton and relocate its corporate headquarters to Plano. In a news release, the company founded in 1964, the company will lease 140,000 square feet of office space at 7900 Windrose Avenue in the Legacy West development.
