Andreeva's defeat not only stings personally but also complicates her path to the WTA Finals. Despite this setback, Andreeva's hopes of qualifying for the WTA Finals are not entirely extinguished. She has the chance to secure her spot if Elena Rybakina falters in her upcoming match against Dayana Yastremska.

Andreeva won't play next week and that means Paolini is qualified for the WTA Finals while Rybakina's chances drastically improved.
