Enzo Maresca has argued that while Chelsea striker Joao Pedro can play in multiple positions, he is at his best when he is not the lone striker up front.

Chelsea signed Joao Pedro over the summer to diversify their attacking options, with the Brazil international featuring in all eight Premier League games this season so far. However, Maresca has admitted an impending tactical tweak could get the best out of the South American forward.

Maresca feels the "balance is quite easy" to get right with when to play younger players and when to keep them back. But he acknowledged: "When they don't play they are not happy, but it is not about one, it about all of them and they can't play every game."
