Gov. Gavin Newsom says he's considering a run for president in 2028 — a day after former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris made the same pronouncement.

(The Center Square) – California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he will consider a run for the White House. But any decision will wait until after the 2026 midterm election, Newsom told CBS News in a report that aired Sunday.

California's Democratic governor talked with "CBS Sunday Morning" about redistricting, the "future of this republic," and his own plans for a presidential run.
