Georgia state senators voted along party lines Monday to continue investigating Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over her handling of the 2020 election interference case.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis appealed a court decision disqualifying her from the election subversion against President-elect Donald Trump to the Georgia Supreme Court, arguing the lower court “overreached” in removing her from the case.

The Fulton County district attorney, Fani Willis, is excoriating Georgia’s attorney general for encouraging the state’s supreme court to ignore her appeal of her disqualification from her case against President Trump.

Willis is now asking the Georgia Supreme Court to review the lower appeals court's decision to disqualify her and reverse it.

Even if the high court eventually rules in Willis’ favor, it seems unlikely that she will be able to prosecute Trump, who returns to the White House on Jan. 20.
