A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Michigan until 8 p.m. Thursday. Heat index values or feel-like temperatures have reached at least 100 degrees in most communities and could reach as high as 105 degrees.

Heat index values could meet or exceed triple digits with showers and storms developing ahead of an incoming cold front

Advisories are in place for steamy temperatures in the southern half of lower Michigan. Lansing will see 90-degree air temperatures on July 24.
