Brent Venables and the OU football program have landed a big name to be the Sooners' new general manager in Jim Nagy, the executive director of the Senior Bowl.

Oklahoma has hired Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy as the team's new general manager, the university announced. Nagy joins the Sooners after spending the last eight years with the Senior Bowl and has deep relationships in both college football and the NFL.

The Oklahoma Sooners made their biggest hire aside from head coach. OU named Jim Nagy as new General Manager of the program. Nagy has lived a football spending 18 years as an NFL scout. His teams he scouted for participated in six Super Bowls winning four. Most recently Nagy was the Executive Director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
