Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) stock has benefited from considerable growth since its IPO in 2012. The social media giant, then named Facebook after its flagship site, grew to become the leading social media stock.

Rosenblatt Securities adjusted their outlook on Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:META), increasing the price target to $846 from the previous $811. The firm retains a Buy rating on the stock. The revision follows Meta's strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2024,

Meta Platforms and most other U.S. stocks are rising Thursday following a rush of profit reports from some of the country’s most influential companies, but drops for Nvidia and Microsoft are keeping the market in check.

Meta said earnings per share were up annually by 50% to $8.02, versus Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $6.76.
