Justice Haynes is still not confirmed as playing Saturday against Michigan State as he attempts to return from injury. Last week, coach Sherone Moore said Haynes had been "close" to playing against Washington before being held out. MLive's Ryan Zuke broke the situation down like this:

The No. 25-ranked Michigan Wolverines are preparing to face the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing for the Paul Bunyan Trophy while also looking for their fourth straight win in the rivalry series.

It's a rivalry Michigan has certainly found itself on the better end of. The Wolverines are 74-38-5 all-time in the series and have won the last three matchups. They also won a national title a couple years ago, which is always worth holding over the head of your rival.

But Michigan currently has the bragging rights, winning the last three games dating back to 2022 and winning a national championship in 2023, something that the Spartans haven't done in nearly six decades.
