Adorable twin girls born in Brooklyn just after midnight were among New York City’s first babies of 2025, hospitals said Wednesday.

Massachusetts General Hospital was the winner of a friendly competition among Boston's hospitals, delivering the first baby in the city after the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve.

As 2025 began, it wasn't long before hospitals across the Tampa Bay area helped deliver the first babies of the new year.

As Bay Area residents counted down the seconds until the new year, the region’s first baby made her way into the world. Raelynn James Greenwell, born at 12 a.m. sharp on Jan. 1, appeared to be the Bay Area’s first newborn in 2025.

We're greeting the first babies born in 2025 in our area. Milo Steven Wilgenbusch came into the new year at 8:24 a.m. at Olmsted Medical Center. The bouncing baby boy weighs 9 pounds and 14 ounces and is 21 1/4 inches long.
