The National Football League Players' Association offered its condolences to those affected by the shooting at the building of the league's headquarters.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams says that a gunman who killed four people at a Manhattan office building was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League but took the wrong elevator.

The Manhattan high-rise shooter, a former high school football player, left a note referencing the brain disease CTE and appeared to have targeted the NFL’s offices, authorities said.
