The Boston Bruins traded away Charlie Coyle on Friday, sending the center to Colorado for two players and a second-round pick.

Charlie Coyle's six-year tenure with the Boston Bruins came to an end at the NHL trade deadline on Friday. The Bruins dealt the 33-year-old center from Weymouth and a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for 26-year-old center Casey Mittelstadt,

The Colorado Avalanche has traded for 10 players since late November, but only one had his own bed waiting for him.

Colorado added Erik Johnson from the Philadelphia Flyers. Johnson played 717 of his 1,009 career games during a 13-year run with the Avs.
