Hideki Matsuyama The Japanese star set the 72-hole scoring record at Kapalua in 2025, posting rounds of 65-65-62-65 to get to 35 under. The PGA Tour reports it's the "lowest score in relation to par in a 72-hole event (since 1983): 35-under (Hideki Matsuyama/2025 Sentry),

Matsuyama’s birdie on No. 18 gave him a round of 65 and the new record, previously owned by Cameron Smith (34-under, 2022 The Sentry). The top five, including Morikawa’s 32-under this week, have all come at The Sentry.

It’s a scoring fest on the Plantation course on weeks when there is little wind. In this one, Collin Morikawa had to settle for second despite not posting a round worse than 66 all week.
