Poland said Monday it would closea second Russian consulate over a May 2024 blaze that destroyed the largest shopping mall in the capital, Warsaw, saying the evidence showed Moscow was behind it.

Poland summoned the Russian ambassador and said it will close the Russian consulate in Krakow after evidence showed Moscow was responsible for a huge fire that almost completely destroyed a Warsaw shopping centre in 2024.

A massive fire that destroyed a large shopping center in Warsaw last year was the result of arson ordered by Russian intelligence services, Polish officials said Sunday on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the blaze.
