The U.S. has picked a location to restart its TNT production domestically as it races to ramp up 155mm production.

Repkon USA - Defense has won a contract action with a ceiling of $435m for domestic trinitrotoluene (TNT) production from the US Army’s Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition (JPEO A&A) and US Army Contracting Command - Rock Island.

The Army awarded $435 million to Repkon USA, which plans to build the facility in Graham, an unincorporated community in Muhlenburg County, roughly 135 miles southwest of Louisville. TNT is the key ingredient in bombs, grenades and ammunition.
