Sarasota shooting victims, suspected gunman identified. Investigators say the shooting is connected to a separate double homicide in Fort Lauderdale.

Russell Kot, 51, was identified as the suspect who killed two people in Fort Lauderdale before driving to Sarasota, where gunfire erupted late Tuesday morning inside a home in the Amberlea neighborhood. Deputies responding to a 911 call discovered four deceased victims and Kot, who died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
