By Bharath Rajeswaran (Reuters) -Indian shares fell on Tuesday, weighed by financials and IT stocks, while Adani group shares slipped after the Wall Street Journal reported U.S. was probing whether the conglomerate had imported Iranian LPG into India.

Most Adani Group units’ shares fell Tuesday following a report by The Wall Street Journal that said US prosecutors are probing the Indian conglomerate’s possible dealings with sanctions-hit Iran.

Adani Enterprises share price dropped as much as 2.63%, while Adani Ports share price fell 2.72%. Adani Total Gas, Adani Green, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Power shares were down between 1% and 2%.
