Season 4 continues the sprawl that has made "The Witcher" feel less like a gritty fantasy slash-em-up and more like homework.
Starring Dolph Lundgren as a Witcher known as Brehen alongside the group of street-smart criminals known as The Rats, first introduced in The Witcher season 3, the 80-minute movie acts as both a prequel to The Witcher season 4 as well as briefly covering what happens next for Ciri.
Longcross Studios has been one of the core filming locations for the fantasy epic for a while, which is why it isn't surprising that it was one of The Witcher Season 4 filming locations. The studio continued to house the set for the mage chambers and the Nilfgaardian Palace.
In a recent interview, however, The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich offered up a defense of the controversial line. "It’s one of those lines. I mean, you never know what is going to be controversial. You never know what’s going to work," she said.
Rumored additions to Season 5 include Emily-Jo Young as Shani, Kate Dickie as Sigrdrifa, Liv Andrusier as Condwiramurs Tilly, Andy Apollo as Reynart de Bois-Fresnes, and Taylor James as Baron de Trastamara.
