A pickup in the westbound Higway 240 turn lane waits for an oncoming semi-truck to turn into the Horn Rapids housing development onto Village Parkway Monday morning in Richland. The investigative paint markings, engine fluid stains and debris from Saturday night’s fatal collision are still apparent on the asphalt.

A WSP trooper accused of driving under the influence and fatally hitting a motorcyclist in Richland has been placed on administrative leave.
