CHICAGO — Kyle Manzardo has returned to the Guardians after missing three games to be with his family during his mother’s heart transplant surgery. Cleveland optioned outfielder Jhonkensy Noel back to Triple-A Columbus in order to clear a spot for Manzardo on the active roster.

The Guardians recently snapped a 10-game losing streak, but it may not be enough to prevent them from selling at this year’s deadline.

The Cleveland Guardians (41-48) will visit the Houston Astros (55-36), in the second game of a three-game series, Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. ET. The Astros are favored at home (-143) against the Guardians (+120). The Astros will start Brandon Walter (1-1) against the Guardians and Slade Cecconi (3-4).
