Did you know Angkor Wat covers 402 acres? It’s the biggest religious building in the world. Located in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province, it was built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II.

The Angkor site sprawls across some 400 square kilometers (155 square miles), containing the ruins of Khmer Empire capitals from the 9th to the 15th centuries, including the temple of Angkor Wat.
