Friends of Big Bear Valley confirmed that the first crack in one egg’s shell was at 3:09 p.m. PST on March 2.

Bald eagle Jackie laid three eggs this year and, since then, she and her partner Shadow have taken turns keeping the eggs warm as thousands of fans keep an eagle eye on a live cam of the couple.

The now-viral eagles, Jackie and Shadow, welcomed their chicks with an audience of thousands who tuned in to their live nest camera.
