At about 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday police surrounded a Colorado Springs elementary school, according to multiple viewers who reached out to 11 News concerned about the activity.

A scary situation unfolded at a Colorado school on the morning of November 8 that involved a police officer shooting and killing a mountain lion.

A scare today for students and parents when police showed up at an elementary school on the northeast side of in Colorado Springs. They tell us they got a call about a man with a rifle near campus.

Colorado Springs police received reports of a man with a rifle outside of Ridgeview Elementary School making threats. However, after responding and investigating, police say this incident appears to be a "hoax.
