FEMA Director Deanne Criswell vowed to request an inspector general investigation into orders that FEMA employees avoid homes of Trump supporters during relief efforts for Hurricane Milton.Criswell made the commitment during her testimony before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday.

The agency did not say where the situation happened, but Gov. Ron DeSantis said it occurred in Florida, calling it "targeted discrimination."

The former Federal Emergency Management Agency employee who was fired earlier this month after being accused of skipping homes of Donald Trump supporters while providing relief in Florida after Hurricane Milton told CNN on Monday night that she was simply following FEMA protocol.

This comes as FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell is set to testify to Congress Tuesday afternoon in Capitol Hill.
