Equinor's Johan Sverdrup oilfield in the North Sea has suffered a power outage that is estimated to last for some 8 hours, a regulatory statement posted on the Nord Pool web site showed on Tuesday.

Norway's Equinor has halted all output from its Johan Sverdrup oilfield, reputedly the largest producing field in western Europe, due to an outage in the offshore power system, reported Reuters. The shutdown occurred on Tuesday.
