Kyrie Irving tore his ACL on Monday night and while nobody would ever wish that kind of injury, or any kind of injury, on a player or an organization, it is impossible not to recognize the seemingly cosmic brand of poetic justice that's been going down in Dallas since the dumbest trade in NBA history.

Unfortunately, Irving lost his balance and landed awkwardly. After hitting his free throws, the former Duke point guard left the game, never to return. Turns out, Irving suffered a torn ACL, ending his year and putting his 2025-26 season at risk.

Devin Booker was asked to comment on Luka Doncic's absence from the Dallas Mavericks since his massive trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. Booker noted that Doncic's absence is definitely felt on the team.
