The Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal from parents in suburban Washington who want to pull their children from elementary school classes that use books featuring LGBTQ characters.

The Supreme Court took up a new dispute on the tensions between LGBT rights and religious rights by agreeing to hear a claim made by parents of elementary school students in Maryland who objected to books available in classrooms concerning gender transition and same-sex relationships.
