MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2024 held its coronation night in Mexico City on November 17 (Philippine time). From 130,126 contestants vied to take home the crown — the most for the competition's 73-year history. This year, the competition also introduced a new format and a new crown made by Filipino brand Jewelmer.

Miss Universe is a pageant held annually by the Miss Universe Organization, which celebrates women’s accomplishments across the world. This year’s event is being held in Mexico City, Mexico. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event.
