Duke Energy crews are preparing for potential power outages ahead of severe weather headed toward the Triangle on Wednesday. Duke Energy spokesperson Jeff Brooks said crews are on standby to respond.

"It's going to take typically six inches or more of wet snow before we see any tree limbs coming down and potentially on power lines ... line pretty close to the Triangle," Brooks said.
