Valley Stream man fatally shot in Queens

A Valley Stream man was fatally shot in Jamaica, Queens on Friday. Police say at 2:21 p.m. they responded to a 911 call for a male shot at the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and Sayres Avenue. They found 49-year-old Richard Carter, of Valley Steam, with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
