Sri Lanka, India and South Africa are set to play a women's ODI tri-series in April and May in Sri Lanka, SLC announced on Thursday. This tri-series was not originally part of the women's Future Tours Programme (FTP).

Colombo: Sri Lanka, currently engaged in a white-ball series against New Zealand, is set to host a tri-nation One-Day series featuring India and South Africa from April 27.

Sri Lanka will host India and South Africa in a Women's ODI tri-series in April and May, it was confirmed on Thursday (March 6). The series, a double round-robin with a final, will serve as build up towards the ODI World Cup set to be played in India later in the year.

An ODI Tri-Nation series, featuring Sri Lanka, India, and South Africa will be played during the months of April & May in the island nation. All games will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, and the tournament begins with Sri Lanka and India squaring off against each other on 27th April.

The ODI tri-series will see India, South Africa and Sri Lanka facing each other in a double round-robin format. The series was originally not part of the women's Future Tours Programme (FTP). All seven matches,
