Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is not one for subtlety when it comes to draft evaluation, and he applied his usual level during the first day of practice for the 2025 Senior Bowl on Tuesday.

According to multiple reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in full attendance at this week’s Reese’s Senior Bowl practices. Head coach Mike Tomlin, General Manager Omar Khan and defensive coordinator Teryl Austin have been spotted keeping a close eye on the defensive line prospects at practice this week.

- At one point in practice, Tomlin talked to Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito. That seems notable. Esposito coached likely first-round pick Kenneth Grant, who fits the Steelers' mold as a guy with upside in both areas. He is not here, but he is a candidate at 21.

MOBILE, Ala. — The first day of practice for the 2025 Senior Bowl is in the books, and the Pittsburgh Steelers were active as always in scouting for 2025 NFL Draft prospects.

With DL depth showing signs of thinning, the Steelers should target any of these 5 free agents to bolster their defensive front in 2025.

As for front office, Sheldon White, Mark Sadowski, Quentin Harris, and others are there as well. Pittsburgh has drafted multiple players from the Senior Bowl in years past, including three last season, so it is no surprise to see them heavily involved in the process in Mobile once again.
