Rain turning to snow will develop across Siouxland from Thursday evening into Friday night with Friday morning likely being a pretty snow time in much of Siouxland before the precipitation comes to an end as the afternoon hours go along Friday.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Our First Alert Weather Day will continue through the night as snow will fall and accumulate. With the sun setting, area roads will quickly deteriorate and become slippery along and south of I-90.

Winds relax late in the day as clouds increase. Another round of snow arrives on Friday with only minor accumulations expected. Most areas will only see under an inch of snow, but some may pick up as much as 2 inches.
