Snow and ice will spread through the South early this week, including near the Gulf Coast where wintry weather is rare.

A wintry mess could be ahead for several states in the South, but there are many questions ahead of us in this forecast.

An already active winter is about to shift into overdrive as a trio of storms over the weekend and into next week deliver snow to the Midwest, East and possibly as far south as the Gulf Coast.
