Memorial services announced for Ohio corrections officer assaulted, killed by inmate
As previously reported by News Center 7, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) officer Andrew Lansing died following an “inmate assault” at the high-security prison in Ross County on Christmas morning. Visitation and funeral will be at Chillicothe High School’s Hatton Memorial Gymnasium, according to his online obituary.
The corrections officer beaten to death on Christmas Day wrote two misconduct reports on the suspect in 2024, records show.
