This week the stars of Strictly Come Dancing will be twisting and turning on the floor of the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Here's what's planned for what promises to be a sparkling show:

The show is usually held in the Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire. But for one week each year, the show moves up north to the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool – an iconic and historical dancing venue. It also marks a stage when the competition gets fiercer as the weaker dancers have typically been eliminated from the series.

She stepped in to partner JLS singer JB Gill when fellow dancer Amy Dowden was forced to pull out. During the show, Gill and Oakley will perform a quickstep to Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, and former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and partner Aljaz Skorjanec will perform a pasodoble to Torn by Nathan Lanier.

In Blackpool, the quickstep has been the most successful Strictly dance, scoring 22 10s in the BBC dancing show’s 20-year history. It is followed by the American smooth, with 15 10s, and the Charleston, with 13 10s.
