Nielsen signed this off-season with the AHL's Colorado Eagles after spending his first four seasons as a pro with the Vancouver Canucks organization.

The 2025-2026 NHL season is through the first three weeks. Still in the infancy stages, the power rankings will move generously for a few more months. Early on, Utah and New Jersey have taken the hockey world by storm with their hot starts.
The Avalanche first introduced Nordiques throwback jerseys when the NHL introduced Adidas' Reverse Retro jerseys ahead of the 2020-21 season. The white sweaters featured the "N"-shaped igloo logo, which was worn by the Nordiques from their NHL debut in 1979 to their final season in 1994-95, and a fleur de lis motif inspired by the Quebec flag.
On Tuesday, those storylines will be on full display for fans from British Columbia to South Florida. All 32 teams will play in the Frozen Frenzy, a showcase for ESPN's coverage of the network featuring a whiparound show in the vein of NFL Red Zone.
